How Pet Buffs
Are Calculated

In Grow a Garden, a pet's passive buff depends on how much it weighs and which mutation it has. Heavier pets give a bigger buff, and rarer mutations multiply it further.

Buff Scales With Weight

As a pet gains weight (kg), the base percentage of its ability goes up too. So the heavier your pet gets, the stronger its passive buff becomes.

Mutation Multipliers

Rarity mutations (Shiny, Inverted, Rainbow) multiply the base buff. Rainbow gives the biggest boost at 3x, so a mutated pet provides much more than a standard one.

Buff scales with weight

The base percentage of a pet's ability rises with its weight in kilograms. The heavier the pet, the stronger the passive buff before any mutation is applied.

Mutation multipliers

Rarity mutations multiply the base buff. Rainbow and Inverted give the biggest jump, so a mutated pet provides much more than a plain one of the same weight.
